A well-deserved first-place win in the XC1 Pro class for Jordan Ashburn on the MICHELIN® Enduro Medium tire, moving him into the championship for the top class of the GNCC series. Not a single tire change was needed during this excruciating 3-hour muddy and rocky race, giving him the advantage of 20 seconds needed to win the race! The muddy conditions made for a challenging day of racing as Coastal GASGAS Factory Racing’s Ricky Russell got out front early on in the race, leading the first couple of laps atop Snowshoe Mountain. He would soon be challenged by FMF/KTM Factory Racing’s Josh Toth as he made the pass on Russell for the lead. However, after leading two laps, Toth would have to make the decision to return to his pits for a tire change. Russell would move back into the lead with just one lap remaining, but Magna1 Motorsports/Husqvarna’s Jordan Ashburn was continuing to make his way up through the pack after a fifth place start to the day. Ashburn would move into second with one lap remaining and set his sights on Russell. As the battle heated up, Ashburn and Russell would come together while trying to get up a hill. Ashburn would get his machine going first, putting him into the number one spot. As he continued on Ashburn would cross the finish line first, looking back to see how close Russell would come through due to adjusted time. Russell would come through 1.4 seconds behind Ashburn, thus confirming Ashburn’s first-ever career win. |

Race TN offers motorcycle racing from age 4 to 6 to pit bike racing to hooligan motorcycle racing with dirt track tires. Pretty much if you enjoy motorsports, there is a class for you to race.
Of course, since there is still a pandemic going on during these races, a few strict guidelines are being enforced. The rules are not too extreme, but they ask to bring exact change only for admission, sign up for all fees, including membership, as well as bring your own pen to sign up. Wearing a mask when you are around others is also encouraged. Remaining 6 feet apart from everyone outside of your family and team pit is also being enforced. Even though there are extra precautions, the energy will still be high for racing.
When it comes to motorsport racing, at Magna1, we have to discuss our premium oil. Our 4-stroke 10W-40 oil has an ultimate viscosity formula providing maximum anti-wear protection with superior performance. We encourage you to sign up for races and show off your motorsport skills, whether it’s whipping around in your motorcycle or riding dirty in your ATV. With Magna1, we know you’ll pass the finish line in no time. Visit our website for more information on our premium fuel.

The lake is well known for its excellent bass and catfishing. The most common fish to catch here are largemouth, smallmouth, and white bass. Bluegill, crappie, and sauger are also present in good numbers.
Watauga has fantastic smallmouth and very good largemouth bass fishing. The lower section of the reservoir is where some of the best smallmouth action happens. Located in Elizabethton, near the North Carolina border, gizzard shad, alewife, bluegill, and assorted minnows make up the forage base.
This lake is home to an abundance of fish species, including black bass, bluegill, crappie, walleye, rainbow trout, and catfish. This lake is home to an annual spring migration of white bass, as well. The deep, clear waters of this lake provide gorgeous views during your fishing days.
This reservoir is a unique destination with quiet waters surrounded by Arnold Air Force Base. This lake is rated as one of the top three crappie lakes in the state. Along with crappie, the 4,000 acres of water houses largemouth and smallmouth bass, muskie, walleye, and catfish.
Chickamauga is situated along the Tennessee River. Its waters are home to largemouth and smallmouth bass, crappie, bluegill, catfish, and striped bass. ]]>The post 4 Different Types of Boats appeared first on MAGNA1 Lubricants.
]]>Fishing boats are most commonly used for – you guessed it – fishing. These boats are built differently depending on what type of water they are meant to be on. For example, a saltwater fishing boat would look slightly different from a freshwater boat that would be meant for ponds, lakes, and rivers. Even the freshwater fishing boats can have some differences depending on the body of water they’re meant for. Most commonly in East Tennessee, we see fishing boats out on the Tennessee River. Powered fishing boats could definitely benefit from our premium marine oil.
This boat is great to take out on the water with friends and family. It usually seats up to eight people, and it is powered by an engine so there is no intense rowing necessary. This boat is shaped like a “V” to give the boat an upper hand on the wind. It is often also used in watersports and other recreational activities.
This boat is one of the most versatile boats in its class. Its shape, size, and structure allow for a wide variety of activities to be performed from or within the boat. People frequently use this boat for fishing, watersports, and even leisurely sailing! If you love being on the water for lots of different reasons, this may be just the boat for you.
Ahh… the luxury. We know these boats aren’t very common in East Tennessee, but they are too fun not to talk about. Yachts are a great boat for a vacation on the water. They sometimes have a double engine that runs on diesel fuel which allows for a very long run-time out on the water. That is why it is so easy for yacht owners/renters to camp out on the ocean or lake all day or even all weekend long.
In order to properly maintain and care for your boat, you need top of the line marine oil to keep your engine in tip-top shape. Visit our website to place your order for your marine oil. We carry 2-stroke and 4-stroke oils, so your boat can have exactly what it needs. Have fun, and be safe out on the water this season!

]]>The post Dirt Bikes Versus Street Bikes… What’s the Difference? appeared first on MAGNA1 Lubricants.
]]>The appearance of a dirt bike is a good way to be able to set it apart from other street bikes – that is, if you know what to look for. A dirt bike is usually smaller, slimmer, more compact, and more lightweight because of the nature of how it is ridden. You will notice a higher saddle on dirt bikes that is closer to the front of the vehicle.
Dirt bikes have much more knobby tires than street bikes. This is because dirt bikes require a lot more traction since it is driven on the uneven and sometimes “loose” ground, like piles of dirt. These tires wouldn’t be seen on a street bike because they have smoother tires since they are only driven on the road. Street bikes’ tires would look more like the ones you would see on a car.
If you are watching someone ride, you can often tell the difference between a dirt bike and a street bike based on how the rider is positioned. Dirt bikers tend to lean forward with the bike, and they are often seen standing up while riding. This is all due to the better performance the rider receives based on the structure of the bikes and the hills and dirt.
After all, what really makes the difference in your dirt bike is what oil you run it on, and Magna1’s premium powersport oil will make your dirt bike different from all the rest. Give your dirt bike the quality oil it deserves, and you will increase the lifespan of your engine while also witnessing performance like never before. Did we mention our oil grants you “funnel freedom?” Each canister of premium powersport oil comes with an easy-to-use bendable and adjustable spout to prevent spilling and wasting. Visit our website to see the different types of powersport oil we offer to find the right one for your dirt bike.

]]>Before you take the boat out on the water, it is a good idea to make sure all of your licenses and insurance policies are good through the end of the boating season. If they aren’t, go ahead and get these renewed to ensure your safety and security. Plus, it feels amazing to get that checked off the list for the year!
Before starting up your boat, make sure the fuel system is in tip-top shape. Check for cracks, leaks, and anything loose. At this step, go ahead and change your fuel filter for the season to make sure everything runs smoothly all season long!
Visually check your battery by making sure there is no acid damage or corrosion. Then, get all the wires connected and test it out! If anything is not functioning properly, get it fixed before getting out on the water.
First, check to see if all belts are in good shape. If any seem worn, replace them. Also, make sure that all your belts are tight and fit securely to ensure the engine functions properly and the belts don’t wear too quickly.
Finally, before hitting the water, change your oil and your oil filter. For the highest quality and maximum performance, replace your old oil with MAGNA1’s 4-Stroke 10W-30 synthetic blend oil. This oil will last you all season long. If you are someone that doesn’t mind changing your oil each and every time you head out on the water, our 2-Stroke oil is the one for you. This oil still maintains maximum quality and is complete with our FunLPro No-Spill cap system so you never have to worry about spilling or having any oil go to waste.
